Before 'The Hunger Games' opened in 2012, food companies were hesitant to sign on for cross-promotions.
But a hit movie is a hit movie, even if it’s about a fascist regime
that deprives its citizens of food. Last year, Subway unveiled a special
line of Fiery Footlong sandwiches to coincide with 'The Hunger Games: Catching Fire,' and earlier this week, Lionsgate announced that they are partnering with Doritos
to promote 'Mockingjay Part 1.' (Maybe “Blood and Roses” will be the
new mystery flavor?) In honor of unlikely pairing of Katniss Everdeen
and Doritos, here are ten other weird food promotions created for
specific movies.
